Haunted dreams threaten the career and life of a burly Jackson, N.J. Police S.W.A.T. team leader.  Desperate, Sgt. Bert Looney follows his wife’s counsel and calls for help from the nation’s leading true-crime magazine, INSIDE STORY, a publication with a record of exposing corruption and reversing sentences of the falsely convicted.  Rather than ridiculing the cop, Editor Manny Bettencourt senses the truth in the story.  He assigns an ensemble team of seasoned investigators, half are ex-cops, half seasoned crime reporters.  Once again Bettencourt and his team begin tracking a convoluted case, little realizing that before they’re finished a huge coverup will be revealed and a mass murderer exposed.
